We decided to sell our house 4 years ago, right at the start of the housing bust. This summer we did not list it and decided to give it a year or two. Well guess what?
We got an offer over the weekend. They accepted our counter offer today. So it looks like we are moving. We have to be out of our house by Feb. 15.
We have been in the same house for the last 22 years. Our house we are selling is rather large is going to take a lot of work to pack, but I am excited. With our kids gone, we just need a smaller house.
We already made an offer on a house in town and it was accepted
Wow! Great luck in getting a house of your liking; as well, with packing and actually moving. Do you know where you are going? Do you know what you're looking for? I'm happy you got someone who wants to give you what you want in terms of payment!
We are unpacking and getting settled. I really love the new house and my sewing room is to die for, lol. It is nice to only fill up my car every two week, instead of everyother day. We are really happy. I hope all is well with you
Great! Yes, the gas issue is ridiculous everywhere in the states. Here, the lowest I've seen is about $3.55. I know some places are in the $4 range. It's sad. No one will have me believe there's no price gouging, especially when there's an 'oil mogul' who got a high-end car with specially-made outside of pure white gold.
Anyhow, I'm happy to hear of your sewing room, too. I'm sure you claimed a room and made it your own, yes? That's good. I hope to be able to have my own art studio someday. Thing is, I'm into a lot of different things - like ceramics, painting, drawing, photography. I'll need a building.
I know this won't stop you from doing what you love. But sure enough can put a little pause on things.
Also, will this move put you closer to friends & colleges within town? Will you be offline for a short time? I sure be glad to help, but I'm too far. You'll have plenty of family & friends to help move right? Will the move take long?, when I moved it took waaayy too long to get situated, to where I felt that was finally moved. Ooohh, listen to me rattle on...*huff-huff* Sorry, it's quite the news. Just one more question; will you be happy with this move? .
We are happy, but will miss our home of 22 years. We will move 23 miles to town and be in the same town as our son and my parents. I plan to keep making poinies and will stay on line. We have until the 15th of Feb. Our current house has 21 rooms to pack, so it will take awhile. My family will help us move and I am going to hire the heavy stuff move
